vkeyd is a Linux daemon, forked from ikeyd, used
to change volumes from keyboard hotkeys outside of
X, or if the keyboard has been captured, as
happens with SDL applications.

cache4j is a cache for Java objects with a simple
API and fast implementation. It features in-memory
caching, a design for a multi-threaded
environment, both synchronized and blocking
implementations, a choice of eviction algorithms
(LFU, LRU, FIFO), and the choice of either hard or
soft references for object storage.

IsisIso2709 provides PHP scripts for migration of data from CDS/ISIS using ISO2709. It lets you migrate data from ISO2709 to XML, SQL, etc.

TkHangman is a cute Tcl/Tk version of the
classic hangman game. It comes with a small
word list, but can be used with existing
dictionaries in text format.

p-unit is a framework for unit testing and
performance benchmarking. As a unit test, it can
run with a single thread or multiple threads
against the same test code. p-unit has an executor
pool which can accelerate the execution speed
dramatically. As a perforamnce test framework, it
records memory consumption and execution time, and
generates results in the form of plain text,
image, and PDF file. Users can also easily
register their own reporters by implementing the
p-unit event listener.

WCCPd is a Web Cache Coordination Protocol daemon,
written in C, that listens to WCCP version 1
clients (like Squid or Cisco CacheEngine). Based
on availability, it forwards HTTP packets to the
Cache farm, or lets them thru. Scripts are used
for the actual kernel-level forwarding
configuration. It supports Linux 2.2.x and 2.4.x
with IP Virtual Server.

SuckerPipe is a client-based proxy for AOL Instant
Messenger communication. Arbitrary connections
can be made between screen names, two users can be
piped together, and messages may be sent to users.

Music daemon is a music playing server that
supports multiple formats through plugins and
multiple playlists. It has a simple protocol for
control and communication for frontends.

Actual Storage calculates the actual storage capacity of secondary storage mediums, such as hard drives, CDs/DVDs, and USB drives. It can handle units from KB (1000 bytes in the decimal system) to YB (1000^8 bytes in the decimal system).

DMCRadio is a ncurses-based console program for radio tuner cards supported by the Video4Linux system. It has a nice LC-like display with support for different ASCII art fonts. It supports up to 20 preset stations, accessible with the keys 1,2,3,...,9,0 and shift+[1,2,3,...,9,0], and at the bottom there is a scroller showing the current radio station.

Mindless Automaton lets you play collectable/trading card games (Magic: the Gathering and possibly others) against other people over a network. The game is simply a virtual tabletop; it does not play against you or enforce the rules.

MSR Tools is a source code evolution analysis tool. It consists of a framework for mining software repositories and tools for metric calculation, visualization, and defect prediction.

FMG is a futuristic war game based on full metal planet (an 'old' board game) and playable in a Web browser. Land your spaceship on Full Metal Planet, pick up ore, destroy or capture the enemy expensive hardware, and if you can, capture their own freighter with a hold full to bursting. Each game is independent. Although it is playable in English, not everything in the guide is translated yet.

dict_pgsql is a dictionary for the mailer postfix. It is able to get all virtual users out of a postgres database; this is very helpful if you have a large number of users who make updates on their aliases quite often. You don't have to extract all the values into system files; the entries will be fetched directly from the database.

Nickel is a library for hierarchical maps and .ini
files. It can be used to easily read, manipulate,
and write configuration data in .ini format, among
other things. It's also handy wherever a map
structure (or tree of maps) is called for. Nickel
focuses on speed, robustness, and portability.
