ScrollKeeper is a cataloging system for
documentation on open systems. It manages
documentation metadata (as specified by the Open
Source Metadata Framework(OMF)) and provides a
simple API to allow help browsers to find, sort,
and search the document catalog. It will also be
able to communicate with catalog servers on the
Net to search for documents which are not on the
local system.

Sman is "The Searcher for Man Pages", an enhanced
version of "apropos" and "man -k". Sman adds
several key abilities over its predecessors,
including stemming and support for complex boolean
text searches such as "(linux and kernel) or (mach
and microkernel)". It shows results in a ranked
order, optionally with a summary of the manpage
with the searched text highlighted. Searches may
be applied to the manpage section, title, body, or
filename. The complete contents of the man page
are indexed. A prebuilt index is used to perform
fast searches.

Javadoc-search is a CGI script for indexing and
searching HTML files produced by the JavaDoc tool.
It allows fast and convenient regular expression
searches for class and class member names, and for
full method signatures that include argument
types. It examines pages generated by JavaDoc and
builds its own index.

The Belgian-HOWTO describes how to tweak Linux for Belgian users and lists Linux user groups, businesses, and other resources in Belgium.

This project aims to create a documentation to the Lotus Notes API for Java in a standard format common in the Java comunity and accepted by the most IDEs for Java. The Lotus Notes API is delivered as a Java archive together with the original documentation in the native format of a Domino database with the IBM Domino Designer. The documentation can be read only in the Lotus Notes. Java-oriented tools cannot use it to display a description of a Java class, to browse classes and their methods or to offer an automatic code insertion based on a Java object and its class. The goal is to create a Javadoc documentation together with a pseudo-source code of the Lotus Notes API. The documentation can be viewed, indexed and integrated to IDEs. The pseudo-source code can be integrated to IDEs to support object browsing and automatic source code insertion.

PurpleView is a paper review system that was designed to help
distributed project development. It serves as a collection of
materials relevant to a field of interest, and its review
capability allows users to distinguish good and relevant items
from bad and irrelevant items. Submission of papers in
different Categories and Platforms aids their systematization.
The sorting and searching features facilitate powerful and
expedient data examination. It incorporates discussion forums
for each item, notifications and message boards, and features
security logins and automated database backups that assure
the system's accountability and availability.

Rundoc is an Ant task designed to help with the single-
sourcing of program documentation. This task replaces special
commands embedded within text files with their output in a
specified format. Currently, only Docbook format is supported.
It was written to keep sample code output in program
documentation synchronized with the actual output of the
current code, by running the referenced code when the
documentation is built.

Pipadoc extracts extracts special comments out of source files or plaintext files and let one define rules how to bring them into proper order. This is somewhat similar to Literate Programming, but it puts the emphasis back to the code, since the source is not extracted from a given "literate text", but the documentation is extracted from the source and then the structure of the generated documentation is defined by the programmer. Pipadoc is programming language and documentation system agnostic, all it requires is that the programming language has some kind of line or block comments in one can place doc statements. It provides a plugin system where one can extend functionality. Some plugins for asciidoc, index generation, and verbatim code sections are provided.

MakeMan Perl is part of "MakeMan'', a project to
provide several frontends, GUI and non-GUI, to an
SGML interface to write man pages. It is written in
Perl, and parses an SGML input file, and generates
valid roff source that can be read by man.

NoteTool helps you to write and organize your
notes with a fast and easy to use program.

HyperLinked Text (Hylt) is both a file format and a viewer for that
format. It uses (almost) flat text files to generate a Wiki-style
database of hyperlinked pages, without either the complex markup of
HTML or the esoteric database formats in which most Wikis store data.
It is geared towards users who desire a minimal interface between
them and their data or like to store their data in formats which can
be meaningfully stored in version control systems. It was developed
originally to match both of those goals, specifically for individuals
writing fiction and wishing to track inter-character and inter-location
relationships.

The "Deutsches Linux HOWTO Projekt" (German
HOWTO Project) offers Linux HOWTOs written in
German. Several HOWTOs are translations of the
English LDP HOWTOs, but additionally there are
HOWTOs available in German only.
