KBACKUP is intended for handling of backups no
matter whether they reside on disk or tape or even
in files. As most other backup programs available
today are either confusing the user with lots of
long command line options, or user friendly but not
powerful at all, the aim behind writing KBACKUP was
to provide a user friendly yet powerful backup
program. It is also intended to be kept compatible
to existing and well proven archive formats, so you
can restore your archives even if you should not
have KBACKUP around anymore.

FakeBO fakes trojan server responses (Back Orifice, NetBus, etc.) and logs every attempt to a logfile, stdout/stderr or syslog. It is able to send fake pings and replies back to the client which is trying to access your system.

popexec is a program for Unix/Linux which checks a POP e-mail account and then runs a program whenever new e-mail arrives. It can also optionally run a program when it sees that you no longer have new e-mail in your POP box. Examples are included which show you how to: Write "You have mail" or "You have X new messages" to a terminal, make a terminal beep, play an audio file, pop an X window onto the screen, make your keyboard LEDs blink, change your desktop background.

RadioMan Java is an interface to the RadioMan, a
serial-controlled AM/FM radio which functions much
like a car radio, including 10 AM/FM presets. This
software allows you to use this device under
Linux.

MoosicApplet is a GNOME panel applet which displays the current status of the Moosic jukebox server. It also provides some basic features for controlling the song player. It features a configurable layout and the ability to rewrite the song name in various ways to make it easier to read.

MyServerTalks aims to be an interface between your
server and messaging networks. Based on the XMPP
protocol, it lets you manage your servers using a
Jabber or Google Talk account.

A Perl program that uses Net::SSH::Perl that allows
systems administrators to run multiple commands to
multiple hosts from one central host.

RockBot is a fully functional multi-channel "bot" for IRC. It has hundreds of usefull commands for managing channels, amusing your friends, and protecting ownership. It is a good alternitive to an eggdrop type bot.

Java Webserver is a Linux/Unix server written in
Java. It should be able to be fast and easy to
modify and document. It should also be fully
modular with components ranging from HTML viewing
to CGI running.

dmassage uses the information in a BSD system's dmesg to gather information
about the system's hardware devices and present this information in a tree-like
hierarchy. This information can then be used to build a more efficient kernel
that only contains support for devices that are actually present. It can also
be used to disable probes for absent devices, thus speeding up the boot
process.

ManiWheel is a GL hack for xscreensaver. It draws
the spinning Tibetan mantra, "OM MANI PEME HUNG"
for the blessing of all beings. It features transparent and
no-transparent modes, two internal textures, the
option to enable or disable a specular image. The
height, radius, shininess, distance, and speed of
rotation may be changed. It can also be used to
draw any texture in the .rgb format.

myFriends is a small program for all of you who have an Apache WEB server and mySQL database running. It is an address list using a WEB interface. It maintains similar things to most address book tools, as well as family relationships. It will also store any number of dates, binary flags or plain text notes to each name. This version targets anyone who wishes to use a simple system and provides a starting point for learning these technologies.

Pike ScriptRunner allows you to run scripts
written in Pike under any FastCGI-enabled Web
server. It provides request parsing and I/O
handling, enabling you to get right to the task of
writing your code. It is a dynamic object-oriented
language with a C-like syntax and a number of
features that make it desirable for rapid
prototyping and deployment of Web applications.

XCclock offers a nice clock and an alarm function. Simply push the right mouse button above the clock and select something in the popup menu. To run and build the Xclasses X11 layout library is required.

cLog is a cross-platform C logging library. It is designed to log to
files and can also log to a callback function.
