X-parallel is an extreme parallel computing system. It includes special super parallel processor, parallel memory architecture, tool chains, CPU emulator, software, etc. "Super parallel" means one central main CPU and countless of parallel processors connected with each other in parallel memory buses. Main CPU can be en existing general CPU, such as ARM etc. The Parallel processor is implemented on the FPGA/CPLD. It is super small CPU, which can only execute very simple task, but connected thousands of them inter-working with no conflicts. This project will first design super parallel system architecture. It expands its scope gradually step by step. Starting from prototype instruction architecture design and compiler/assembler. Create CPU emulator next, and implement on FPGA using VHDL. Final goal will be 1,000 to 10,000 parallel CPU works on a single chip.
