XGngeo is a GUI frontend for Gngeo, a powerful
command line Neo Geo emulator. It provides a
complete, pratical, and user-friendly GTK+
interface and features multiple configuration
panels, an intuitive design, and the ability to
regulate emulator behaviour both easily and
precisely. ROM selection is made simple thanks to
a full-featured list with preview images and game
information.

This stable release features many bugfixes and enhancements since the last beta version. The all-in-one ROM driver file was changed to a more flexible ROM driver directory (the new standard since GnGeo 0.7). Psyco is optionally used to boost XGngeo's overall speed. A certain BIOS type can be chosen only when it is available in the user's BIOS directory. The background color for available ROMs in the list can be customized. Speed and ease of game selection were increased.

One year exactly after the previous version, this beta is preparing for the upcoming 16 release with many major changes to test: support for multiple ROM directories in the ROM list (which now perfectly detects ROMs using GnGeo directory scanning), support for many new parameters (hardware surface, transparancy pack, 68K and Z80 CPU clocking, new benchmark mode, etc..), full Hot Keys support (independently for the 2 players), universal BIOS support, manual ROM selection now featuring automatic ROM detection and optional display of preview images, and more.
