Qtstalker provides commodity and stock market charting and technical analysis. Data can be imported from online sources (e.g. Yahoo!) or from CSV (comma-separated values) files. Plugins enable creation of other indicators and data loaders. It can access the extensive TA-Lib Technical Analysis Library. Scripting for custom indicators enables combinations of different plots and other indicators and calculations. External scripts can pass data in. The back tester enables indicator performance tests. The scanner looks for charts which meet user-defined criteria.

The Yahoo plugin "Quote" method was broken by a URL change. The methods "History" and "Auto History" were not affected. The docs/quick.html and docs/yahoo.html documentation have been improved. The "Pivot Point" indicator is fixed. To assist developers, source code documentation is now generated with Doxygen (see the Web site). TA-Lib can be upgraded to 0.4.0.

Installing TA-Lib is now a pre-requisite. A
single-click is now used to select charts. The
user can run external scripts that can pass data
back to ExScript to be plotted. "Indicator
Summary" shows a table of all values of active
indicators for each item in a Group. An XML export
can be used by other programs and by the ExScript
indicator. See misc/CUS_examples to get a quick
start with custom CUS indicators. Automated help
documents were added for indicators. All the
installation paths were changed from /usr/* to
/usr/local/*. This now runs very reliably on Mac
OS X systems.
