At present, it appears nothing in FontAnvil is capable of setting the version number of the "gasp" table, which controls grid fitting in TrueType. It will preserve the version number of a table in a loaded font, and code I am checking in now will automatically set it to "1" (usually the preferred value) when entries are created that require version 1; otherwise it seems to default to 0 though I can't even find the code that sets that. Ideally, there would be a (probably FontAnvil-specific) function or standard variable to allow access to this.
