How to deal with false positives?
OSDN's virus scan feature is there to notice projects admins when specific virus scanners detect a file of your project as a virus. Please note that this scan result is hidden from download users. In other words, even now, there are no users being warned by OSDN when they download the file.
We are almost absolutely sure that your release file is not a virus. That said, it is still a fact that a few erratic scanners falsely detected your file as a virus. That means, those erratic scanners', for example Kaspersky's, users must be thinking that your file is a virus.
Our system is there to help project admins acknowledge the problems that are happening at the moment. We understand that most of these cases are false detections. However, we believe that even the occurrences of those false detections must be noticed to the project admins.
Hello,
I received reports like this:
How do I add such obvious FALSE POSITIVES to ignore/exclusion list?
(Note: this is a source code archive, not even binaries. Also, if only 4 a/v-engines out of 57 detect an alleged "virus", then it's quite obvious a FALSE POSITIVE)
