Sitellite Content Management System

A cache manager was for easier management of
caching behavior. An activity log was added for
admins to see exactly who did what and when. The
workflow internals and workflow management
interface were revamped, allowing for more
advanced workflow scenarios. User privileges were
refined for even greater access control
restrictions. Member services were improved,
providing out-of-the-box member portal/extranet
capabilitites. A new template manager provides
easier Web site design control as well as built-in
tools for standards compliance testing, including
WAI and Section 508 testing. Hundreds of minor
feature improvements were made.

Many small bugs were fixed. Sitellite's RSS
capabilities were improved in the
saf.XML.RSS.Simple package (including a new
tutorial on the Web site). Some changes were made
to the output mode behavior (also with a new
tutorial). The saf.Database.NestedSet class was
finished. An interactive shell script for testing
purposes was also added to the NestedSet package.
Some minor i18n improvements were made. The one
major addition in this release is the ability to
translate apps and templates via a new translation
builder in the built-in AppDoc add-on.

A news/RSS/viewer action has been added, so now it's as simple as specifying the newsfeed URL to syndicate content. New classes SimpleCal and MiniCal have been added for ultra-easy calendar rendering. A new "content filters" feature has been added, allowing you to pass page content through a filter (e.g. search term highlighting) before it is rendered in a template. Big UI improvements have been made to Web file browsing. Many bugs have been fixed.

This release features many bugfixes, a new file manager with version control, an integrated search, and file indexing (via SiteSearch add-on, which now supports the following file types: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF, vCard, iCal, RTF, HTML, XML, MP3, and Photoshop files). This version also adds many new API methods, new classes, and documentation improvements. The Rex versioning system now handles renaming more effectively, and the Rex collection definition file format has many new options to make it much more flexible for creating custom data types.
