lxdvdrip is a command line tool to make a copy from a video DVD. It automates the process of ripping, authoring, previewing, and burning the DVD. It uses tools like mplayer, transcode, vamps, dvdauthor, and growisofs. You can backup just the main feature without the menu or the whole DVD.

with the "nice" command, and the level of niceness
can be set in the configuration file. The buffer

The full path of the working directory is added to
the dvd-read-device if it is not a device or if it
is a directory with a relative path name.
dvdbackup was integrated into the archive. Newer
libdvdread versions are supported. "UDFFindFile"
was replaced by "DVDFileSize" (libdvdread-0.95)
and "DVDFileStat" (libdvdread-0.96). Smaller
bugfixes were made for Mode "vamps_menu".
