Support for Windows (compiles out of the box). More online search engines: SpringerLink, PubMed, ACM Digital Library, JSTOR, IEEE Xplorer, and Science Direct. Improvements in all other online search engines: Google Scholar, arXiv, and BibSonomy. Duplicate finding and merging code and user interface. BibTeX references can be sent to LyX via a pipe.

Selection of pasted elements was corrected. Handling of encodings in BibTeX files was improved, including storing settings in file. Handling of duplicated fields and multiple values in one fieled (e.g. keywords) when loading BibTeX files was improved. Regular expressions were improved to detect URLs, files, and DOI numbers. Various GUI fixes were made. A link to the bug tracker homepage was added.

This release added a man page and a URL list that allows you to choose from local files. Behavior of read-only controls was corrected. A more robust/flexible importer for BibTeX code was provided. A "recently used files" menu item was added. Issues in online/Web searches were fixed, including handling of "cancel" events. There were numerous other bugfixes and improvements.

Support was added for BibUtils and Bib2Db5 to read and write more bibliography formats. Duplicates can be found in bibliography files. Multiple backup files are created. All text encodings supported by iconv are supported. The ability to query CiteSeerX, IEEExplorer, Computer Science Bibliographies, and ScienceDirect was added. The ability to query Z39.50 servers was added. Viewing primary and online references was added. Entry IDs can be normalized according to a suggestion system. Multiple selection in the sidebar is now possible. Numerous other improvements were made. Various bugs were fixed.

Translations (Russian and German). Searching in Google Scholar, and arXiv. Editing ID suggestions with a nice GUI. Searching the main view has been improved (exact search, any/every word). The ability to create user-defined fields that can be edited in the entry window.
