Meson versions newer than 0.58 warn:

NOTICE: Future-deprecated features used:

• 0.58.0: {'meson.get_cross_property'}

That's likely to be replaced with meson.get_external_property(), which has existed since 0.54.0 (i.e. is in our minimum requirement already)
