Tof is a Web-based photo album. It is based on slooze, and additionally has viewing rights, picture rating and sorting by rate, indexing with keywords, picture upload through the Web, thumbnail creation, and multiple languages support. It is being developed with PostgreSQL, but should be easy to port to MySQL thanks to phplib.

EOS Image Manager is a pure Cocoa application that enables users to quickly view, thumbnail, rename (add and remove chars, change case), and manage (move, copy, and rename) all of their images from a single, uncluttered interface. With this application users can organize thousands of downloaded images and digital photos in minutes.

iOta (Image Organization Tool and Archiver) is a
tool to manage, organize, index, archive, and Web-publish
your digital photography collection. It is backed
by a BerkeleyDB database. The KDE/QT based
front-end is designed to be simple, yet powerful.
iOta allows the user to generate, uniquely rename,
and index images to an embedded database. The user
can also caption and describe each image, generate
thumbnails and browsable HTML indexes, archive
directories of images onto CDR, and search and
edit properties of each photograph in the user's
collection. In addition, all this information also
travels with the image itself in the thumbnail
EXIF header.

MinDia is an application for creating,
modifying, and presenting multimedia slide
shows. A Slide show can contain multimedia
elements like images, sounds, and text. In
addition to displaying on screen, it can control
Rollei slide projectors (Rolleivision 35 twin
digital P and Rolleivision twin msc 3x0 P) via a
serial port.

GPdf is a PDF viewer for GNOME, based on Xpdf.

GnoCHM is a CHM file viewer for GNOME. It is
implemented in Python, using the PyCHM bindings
for chmlib.

DFBSee is an image viewer and video player for the Linux framebuffer
that uses DirectFB. Due to the use of hardware acceleration through
DirectFB, it provides very fast and smooth zooming.

OST-Box is a set-top box user interface. It
provides an integrated way to access to all kinds
of media, with only a remote command (lirc). The
current features include TV and Web radio support,
TV program guide, record scheduler, browsing and
editing of photo and MP3 collections, playing of
video, and starting external programs (for
watching DVDs, TV, etc.). Differents looks are
available through a skin system. The interface is
entirely written in XML and JavaScript (using
Mozilla Spidermonkey). The xine engine is also
embedded for playing music and viewing TV.

fbi is an image viewer which displays images on Linux framebuffer devices. It can read PhotoCDs, jpeg, and ppm directly. For other formats it tries to use some external converter like convert from the ImageMagick package.

cbrPager is a no-nonsense, simple to use, small viewer for CBR, CBZ, and CB7 (comic book archive) files. It views JPG, GIF, and PNG images, and you can zoom in, out, and fit-to-window. Viewing can be in 1- or 2-page mode. Navigation is possible by mouse or keyboard.
