PeaZip is a free file archiver utility. The application provides an unified, natively portable, cross-platform file manager and archive manager GUI for many Open Source technologies like 7-Zip, FreeArc, PAQ, UPX.

Features of PeaZip includes extract, create and convert multiple archives at once, edit existing archives, create self-extracting archives (sfx), split files, strong encryption with two factor authentication, encrypted password manager, secure deletion, find duplicate files, calculate hashes, export task definition as command line script.

Release Notes

Release 6.7.2 introduces a more streamlined GUI for archiving and extraction, that can now be sent in background to system tray, smart extraction to new folder (to avoid extracting multiple items to destination, and for removing unnecessary levels of nesting), and other several improvements and fixes. Multiple archiving and extraction tasks are now performed in a single instance, easier to hide, move or resize, providing progress bars for current task and for overall process. 7z backend is updated to 19.00 version.

EXTRACTION and ARCHIVING When multiple tasks are running, current and overall progress bars are both shown on the bottom of the launcher window Launcher window can now be sent in background to system tray

tray icon shows progress of current task or tasks list tray icon context menu allows to pause and stop current task(s), and explore input and output path
